Outdoor Unit
Outdoor Unit
A remote refrigeration unit, also known as an outdoor refrigeration unit, is a specialized type of refrigeration system commonly used in commercial and industrial applications.Remote refrigerators are insulated cold food storage areas that are outfitted with an evaporator inside, but the compressor and condenser are located in a remote area away from the refrigerator itself.
How does refrigeration work?
The refrigeration cycle is a means of routing heat away from the area you want to cool. This is accomplished by manipulating the pressure of the working refrigerant (air, water, synthetic refrigerants, etc.) through a cycle of compression and expansion.
The liquid refrigerant is compressed into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant using a compressor, and then sent to the condenser for heat dissipation to become a low-temperature and high-pressure liquid refrigerant, so the condenser blows out hot air. Then go to the throttling device (usually using a capillary tube) to throttle and reduce pressure, and enter the evaporator. Due to the sudden increase in space and decrease in pressure after the refrigerant reaches the evaporator from the capillary tube, the liquid refrigerant will vaporize and become a gaseous low-temperature refrigerant, absorbing a large amount of heat. The evaporator will become cold, and direct cooling or air cooling will be used to achieve cooling inside the cabinet.
The compressor : Compression is the first step in the refrigeration cycle, and a compressor is the piece of equipment that increases the pressure of the working gas. Refrigerant enters the compressor as low-pressure, low-temperature gas, and leaves the compressor as a high-pressure, high-temperature gas.
The condenser :The condenser removes heat from the hot refrigerant vapor gas vapor until it condenses into a saturated liquid state, a.k.a. condensation.
Condensing fan : It blows the external air to the condenser to strengthen the heat transfer effect of the condenser.
High-pressure liquid storage tank : used to store liquid refrigerant condensed through the condenser, high-pressure liquid storage tank can store a certain amount of liquid refrigerant. The root Adjust and supplement refrigerant required by refrigeration system according to the change of refrigeration system working condition
Pressure controller : A device that maintains the normal operation of the refrigeration system when the condensing pressure and evaporation pressure in the system exceed the use of the compressor.Stop the compressor through the pressure protector when the limit is reached.
Gas-liquid separator : the gaseous refrigerant at the outlet of the evaporator may be in a gas-liquid mixed state, and the role of the gas-liquid separator is to put the refrigerant liquid in Gas separation, effectively prevent the compressor liquid strike.
Sight glass : The sight glass can be used to determine whether the refrigerant is properly charged and the water content in the system.

Comparison of fixed frequency and variable frequency units
The starting frequency of a fixed frequency compressor is much higher than that of a variable frequency compressor. Every time the compressor starts, it consumes a lot of electricity. However, variable frequency compressors are more intelligent and have more precise temperature control, so the compressor does not start frequently, which makes it more energy-efficient. Generally, it can save 10% to 35% energy, and the amount of energy saved depends on the working conditions of the compressor and the setting of the frequency converter parameters.

Regular maintenance of the unit
- Before inspection and maintenance, the power supply should be cut off and the power plug should be pulled out of the socket.
- After the outdoor unit is used for a long time, dust will be attached to the heat ex-changer, which will reduce the heat transfer effect and reduce the cooling capacity of the unit, and clean the outdoor heat ex-changer.It should be cleaned at least once every two months, with a long-bristled brush, or with compressed air to blow off the surface of the outdoor heat ex-changer, and do not wash with tap water.
- Regularly observe the running sound of the unit, and if there is any abnormality, please contact professionals in time for troubleshooting.
